While the 2020 edition of JEC World has been postponed, Arkema will present from March 9 to 11 2021 in Paris Villepinte its unique offering of innovative solutions for composite materials. The next edition of JEC World will be an opportunity for Arkema to present its unique range of composite solutions designed for some of our key markets, with the spotlight this year on our offering for the transportation, renewable energies and construction markets.
New Elium® resin for solid-surface
Arkema just launched its new Elium® C445 resin for solid-surface applications. It is a liquid acrylic resin specially adapted for room temperature casting of large objects. It is perfectly formulated to receive high mineral filler rates while maintaining high water, thermal shock and scratch resistance.
Elium® resins: a revolution for construction
Elium® liquid thermoplastic resins stand out in many ways. Their suitability for recycling and for a number of processing techniques, in particular pultrusion into rods and profiles, makes it an ultra innovative choice material.
This adaptability opens up new prospects: for reinforcing rods of armored concrete made of composites which can be hot-cast thanks to the thermoplastic nature of the Elium® resin ; also for structural cables used in the construction of pre-stressed concrete structures and bridges.

Focus on our 3D Printing solutions
Today 3D Printing Solutions by Arkema presents the most comprehensive portfolio of high performance materials for additive manufacturing. We provide solutions combining the best of both worlds: 3D printing and composites.
The partnership between Continuous Composites and Sartomer, an Arkema Business Line, is aimed at combining Continuous Composites’ patented continuous fiber 3D printing technology (CF3D®) with Sartomer’s N3xtDimension® UV-curable resin solutions.
Furthermore, Arkema with its high performance polymer Kepstan® PEKK has partnered with 9T Labs (Zurich), a start-up specializing in the 3D printing of thermoplastic composites that has developed a technology that automates the manufacture of composites using additive manufacturing (AM) and advanced software algorithms.
